Church of Agia Kyriaki Nydri
Just opposite of Nidri village, among the rocks, you will see a small white chapel, the chapel of Agia Kyriaki or ‘chapel of the rock’. It is located on the peninsula of “Geni”, at the bay of Vlycho.
A sanctuary of the Nymphs was once situated there. You can reach it either by boat or by a path at the end of the road to Geni. Close to Agia Kyriaki you can also see the tomb of archaeologist William Doerpfeld, who supported the theory that Lefkada is Homer’s Ithaca. The church celebrates on the 7th of July
