Egremni is ranked as one of the best beaches of the European continent, along with Porto Katsiki and Kathisma. It lies on the southwestern coast of the island and due to its length (almost 3 km) it never gets too crowded no matter the cruise ships which sometimes drop tourists.
After the last earthquake in 2015, the access to this stunning and authentic beach became even harder than before. The landslides triggered by the seism destroyed the path and covered part of the beach. You would have had to descent about 300 steps to reach a small heaven. Nowadays, however, the only option is to arrive by boat. Nature restores itself in slow rhythms by washing out the landslides material. While approaching the coast, you will get the vibes of the area. Look around you to realize the spectacular landscape: green vegetation reaches the edge of the white limestone and then gets merged with the turquoise waters.
Enjoy the feeling of freedom this spot offers you thanks to its wildness and remoteness. The waves of the open sea will get bigger and noisier later in the afternoon just to travel you away…
